Another random pick from the library, and I’m so glad to have read it. A cute feel-good romance. Other than romcom, romance in any form has never been a genre for me. But this book has just stolen my heart.
Yadriel is a transgender who identifies as “he” but his traditional Latinx family has problems accepting him. To prove himself, he does the rituals to summon a ghost, but the ghost turns out to be Julian, the school’s bad boy.
The book is written in such a simple language and yet very powerful. The author was able to portray Yadriel’s innocent and sincere feelings so well. The book has magic, friendship, unconditional love and a little bit of action. What more do we need? It delivered much more than what I expected, left me feeling happy and wanting more.
My Rating: 4.5⭐/5
