Dark Matter is another book that I bought just because of Bookstagram! And well worth it! The book turned out to be much better than I expected. Very fast-paced and it was literally like watching a sci-fi movie.
Reading the last book in a good series is always a bit nostalgic and dismal at the same time. You know the series is going to end. You wonder whether your characters will get their happy ending. You know you are going to miss these characters. You also know you can’t delay reading it forever.
My first instinct when I started Gemina, was to see whether the format really made a difference. If you remember, I read Illuminae as an e book and it really took away the novelty of the book’s unique format. And boy, I loved Gemina much more than Illuminae.
Ever since I saw the Illuminae series on Bookstagram, I had wanted to read them. The unique format of the book intrigued me. Our library has these books and so I didn’t want to buy them. But it was almost impossible to check out all 3 at the same time.
